1. Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between Remolab, a French société par actions simplifiée (SAS), trading as Vetomo, with share capital of €10,000 and registration number 953 190 162 R.C.S. Paris (“Vetomo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), and the person or organisation using a service (“you”). Its registered address is 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France. If a signed order form identifies a successor Vetomo entity, that order form controls from its effective date. By accessing or using the website, Petomo, Vetomo, or a related application, you agree to these Terms.
If you use a service for a clinic, hospital, group, or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation. An order form, data processing agreement, service description, pilot agreement, or app-store term may add to these Terms. A signed commercial agreement controls to the extent of an express conflict.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to accept these Terms and meet any minimum age applicable where you live. Petomo accounts are intended for adults or other persons legally authorised to manage a pet’s information. Vetomo professional accounts are restricted to users authorised by a participating veterinary organisation.
You must provide accurate account information, protect credentials and devices, use only your own account, and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Clinic administrators are responsible for assigning appropriate roles and removing access when it is no longer required. We may require recent authentication or explicit confirmation for sensitive actions.
3. Vetomo and Petomo services
Petomo is the pet-owner experience. Depending on availability, it may provide pet profiles, a Pet Health Wallet, journals, reminders, clinic connections, owner-entered observations, and access to clinic-connected care.
Vetomo is the clinic and staff experience. It helps veterinary organisations manage clinic-approved Care Episodes, plans, owner guidance, structured updates, review workflows, communications, integrations, and outcomes.
Features vary by product, account, clinic, region, plan, device, implementation scope, and release stage. A clinic connection does not exist until the clinic and owner complete the required confirmation. A Petomo account by itself does not establish a veterinarian- client-patient relationship, clinic monitoring, or a Care Episode.
4. Clinical and emergency boundaries
Vetomo and Petomo support communication and veterinarian-directed aftercare; they do not replace a licensed veterinary professional, emergency service, or the clinic’s official medical record. Veterinary professionals remain responsible for diagnosis, prescription, treatment, clinical review, escalation, and final communication.
The services do not autonomously diagnose, prescribe, calculate a dose, change medication, confirm that a pet is medically normal, or clear an emergency. Unless a clinic expressly states otherwise, messages and updates are not continuously monitored. If you believe a pet may need urgent care, use the clinic’s emergency instructions or contact an appropriate emergency veterinary service immediately.
5. Pet-owner and caregiver responsibilities
Petomo users are responsible for:
- providing information they reasonably believe is accurate and current;
- identifying owner-entered information honestly and not presenting it as clinic-verified;
- following the clinic’s instructions and asking the clinic when guidance is unclear;
- obtaining permission before uploading another person’s information or sharing access with a caregiver;
- reviewing notification and device-permission settings; and
- contacting a veterinary professional rather than relying on the service when a pet’s condition is urgent, uncertain, or worsening.
6. Clinic and professional responsibilities
Veterinary organisations and their authorised users are responsible for:
- their authority and legal basis to use, connect, and disclose information;
- clinical approval of protocols, patient-specific plans, advice, and changes;
- configuring clinic hours, response expectations, escalation routes, and emergency instructions accurately;
- maintaining suitable staffing, permissions, training, and professional oversight;
- reviewing owner submissions, prepared summaries, exports, or writebacks before taking clinical action or updating the official record; and
- using the service in accordance with law, professional duties, and the agreement.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use a service unlawfully, fraudulently, or outside your professional authority;
- share accounts or access another person’s or organisation’s data without permission;
- circumvent access controls, probe security, or interfere with service operation;
- upload malicious code, unlawful content, or content that infringes another’s rights;
- scrape, copy, or use automated extraction outside a documented interface and permitted purpose;
- reverse engineer protected elements except to the limited extent the law does not allow that restriction;
- use the service to train a competing model or service without written permission; or
- present AI-generated, owner-entered, or unreviewed material as a clinical decision.
8. AI-assisted features
AI-assisted features may organise information, suggest relevant context, prepare a summary, or draft material for review. Outputs can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate and must be assessed in their context. You must not treat an AI output as a diagnosis, prescription, emergency determination, or substitute for professional judgment.
Some AI features may be limited, labelled as preview, or require confirmation before an action is taken. Vetomo may pause or restrict a feature where needed for safety, quality, legal compliance, or provider availability.
9. Data, user content, and privacy
You retain the rights you have in information and content you submit. You grant Vetomo the limited rights necessary to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and display that content to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service and meet legal obligations. You confirm that you have the permissions needed to provide the content.
As between Vetomo and a veterinary organisation, the organisation retains its rights in Customer Data. Clinic-controlled personal data is processed under the applicable data processing agreement. Our broader handling of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Feedback may be used to improve the services without an obligation to compensate you, provided we do not disclose your confidential information or identify you publicly without permission.
10. Third-party services and integrations
A service may depend on an identity provider, app store, device platform, map provider, communications provider, payment provider, PIMS vendor, AI provider, or another third party. Their services and terms may apply separately. Integrations depend on technical compatibility, provider approval, permissions, and the agreed implementation scope.
Vetomo is not responsible for third-party products outside its control. We may change, suspend, or remove an integration if the provider changes its service or if continued use would create a security, legal, clinical, or operational risk.
11. Paid services, renewals, and taxes
Clinic subscription fees, usage limits, implementation charges, billing frequency, renewal, payment dates, and taxes are stated in the applicable order form. Consumer or Petomo paid features, if introduced, will display the price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation method before purchase. App-store purchases may also be governed by the store’s billing and refund rules.
12. Intellectual property and licence
Vetomo and its licensors retain all rights in the services, software, design, documentation, trademarks, content, and underlying technology, excluding user content and Customer Data. Subject to these Terms and any applicable payment, we grant you a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the available service for its intended purpose during the applicable account or subscription term.
13. Availability, updates, and future apps
We may update the services to improve safety, security, accessibility, performance, or functionality. Availability can be interrupted for maintenance, incidents, provider failures, or events outside reasonable control. Contracted support and availability commitments are stated in the applicable order form.
Preview, pilot, beta, and “coming soon” features or applications may change, be delayed, or not be released. A coming-soon label is not a promise of a release date, platform, price, or final feature set. When a native Android, iOS, Windows, or macOS application is released, additional platform and app-store terms may apply.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using a free service at any time. Account deletion and subscription termination are subject to the in-product process and any applicable order form, billing, record-retention, and data-processing terms.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful use, serious or repeated breach, non-payment, risk to a person or animal, or harm to another customer or the service. Where practical, we will provide notice and limit the scope and duration. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, and liability terms—will survive.
15. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, free, preview, and public website services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every service will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or third-party system, or suitable for a specific clinical purpose. Clinical outcomes depend on many factors outside the software’s control.
These Terms do not exclude any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded. Any warranties for a paid clinic service are stated in the applicable commercial agreement.
16. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including where applicable liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or a deliberate violation of law. For paid clinic services, liability exclusions, financial caps, indemnities, and remedies are governed by the applicable commercial agreement.
For free website and Petomo features, and to the extent permitted by law, Vetomo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by unauthorised use of credentials, or loss resulting from reliance on the service instead of obtaining appropriate veterinary care. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
17. Changes, governing terms, and disputes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in a service, law, security requirement, or business operation. The revised Terms will be posted with a new date, and material changes will be communicated where required. Continued use after the effective date means the revised Terms apply, except where additional consent is required.
The contracting entity, governing law, courts, and any dispute process are identified in the applicable order form or regional service notice. If you use a service as a consumer, mandatory protections and courts available under the law of your residence are not displaced by this section.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the Vetomo contact page. Do not include patient records, clinical media, or urgent care information in a public website enquiry.
