01An absent update is not a reassuring observation
A completed task, an owner’s description and a clinician’s assessment are different kinds of information. Keep those distinctions visible. A missing check-in may require follow-up; it does not establish that the patient is doing well.
02Design the review before collecting more data
Useful monitoring begins with a clear clinical purpose.
- Specify the observations required by the approved plan and when owners should report them.
- Assign review responsibility and a fallback when the usual team member is absent.
- Review concerns and missing information; document professional decisions in the PIMS.
03Test whether the information supports a decision
In the demo, compare an owner check-in with the team’s review view. Ask how incomplete reports and submitted media are handled. During the pilot, record review delays and follow-up actions; avoid treating the number of uploads as a measure of care quality.
